#160185 - Short pins 2 & 3 on PC Comport
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Short the Tx and RX pins (pins 2 & 3) on the DB9, or DB25 commport on the PC, then in your terminal application, press any printable key (not tab, space or enter) and you should be able to see what you type echoed on the screen.

The data will be "looped back" from the TX out of the commport and back onto the RX in of the same commport.

This will tell you with some degree of certainty that data is falling out the back of your PC.

Regards

Marshall
