#160192 - What do *you* think? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

pls put some light on this question too.. Rather than just rely on others to do your thinking for you, what do you think might happen? Look at the descriptions of the external memory accesses in Chapter 3 of the so-called "bible" for the 8051; including the timing diagrams - what do you think might happen at the points where it samples the external lines if no memory is physically present...? Also check the Datasheet for your particular device to see if there are any specific variations... Again, those "bible" links: Chapter 1 - 80C51 Family Architecture: http://www.nxp.com/acrobat_d...ARCH_1.pdf Chapter 2 - 80C51 Family Programmer's Guide and Instruction Set: http://www.nxp.com/acrobat_d...UIDE_1.pdf Chapter 3 - 80C51 Family Hardware Description: http://www.nxp.com/acrobat_d...WARE_1.pdf |
