There are heaps and heaps of information on the web all about IR controls, receivers, transmitters, applications with 8052s etc etc etc. Seems like you will have to investigate this in some detail to get a better handle on how this stuff works. I suspect that when you have achieved this that then you'll be able to come back and ask much more specific questions where some help may be available.
