#160497 - USB does Require Timing Reference Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If you truly have duplicated the hardware of the starter kit and are expecting the same exact reference firmware to to work then the crystal frequency should be the same. You mention that you are trying to use the 12MHz crystal and the Atmel documents at http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resou...oc7534.pdf indicate that 24MHz should be used. I would expect this to fail.
Let me ask a question. If you opened up your 4 port USB hub or your 33-in-1 USB card reader unit and changed the crystal frequency would you expect these devices to work? Michael Karas |
