hi all

i'm working on a project where i need to
send data to the ir-interface of my minidisc-deck. I want to send data from the pc to the at89c2051 which tranfers it to an serial eprom(24c16). On pressing a button the mc gets data from eprom and send it via an ir-diode to md-deck. Now, does anyone know what kind of signal needs to be generated to transmit data over ir. All i know is that it's 12 bit plus something like a startbit put on a 40kHz carrier.But i don't know the code and how to set up the mc.If anyone has infos,links...
