No. It is not common at all to have a interrupt enabled off the same timer that would be generating your buad rate clock. The baud rate clocks generated are normally 16 times faster than the baud rate itself and this makes for a timer function that is insanely short for any moodern / practical UART data rate.
You would do well to spend your energy looking for another MCU that has the mix of UARTs, Baud Rate Generators and other Timer Hardware available to suit your needs than to try to find ways to leaverage the baud rate timeers in the way that you suggest. Michael Karas |
