I see also no reason, why it should not be possible.
But the other question was, what do you want to do with such huge data from the CD ?
Please watch, the 8051 was extremely good optimized to handle only a small amount of data (e.g. 265 bytes).
So applications with data above 64kB should only use the 8051, if speed was never an issue.
