Also note (not you Erik) the difference between OS and RTOS. The "real time" means something. Standard Linux does not guarantee that tasks are not delayed. Not only AMD and Intel...NXP have 16 and 32 bit..'X51. But I didn't realized that they where not running with linux?? Lot of development board which used enhanched '51 running linux.
