I have solved most of the conflict with the code, being the principal problem that I wasn't using the accumulator, but just the registers. When I said Port A, I was talking about the Port A of the first i8255, and about the less significant bits, I meant I was trying to use the port only as a 4-bit interface. I'm using the as31 assembler by the way. Now the problem I have is that I need to change the use of the accumulator inside the program, but I can check that on my own, anyways, I appreciate that you answered, and I'll take on consideration your comment for my next experiment (I'm just practicing in the 8051 because I want to learn about microcontrollers from a general view).
