You might avoid part of your errors by writing programs "conservatively". For example, I would write your loop as:
for (num = 1; num < (size - 1); num++) {
buf[num] = read(ACK);
}
I would avoid the "cool" properties of the for loop (and also pointer arithmetic, as long as arrays are concerned, although the latter is arguable). 0.02€ (which is much, much more than 0.02SKK, the currency we abandoned in favour of Euro two months ago, so my rates went way up ;-) ) JW |
