#16516 - RE: Low cost D/A converter |
PWM ties up timers.
After one year experimenting, I now have the ultimate 8channel d/a converter which is so cheap we use it for digital outputs too. Take a '273 and tie your regular R2R ladder as as been proposed in earlier emails. Then go to a '4051 and mux out to 8 channels. After this, go to 8 tant caps and '324 buffer circuit. For 100ma per channel add a 2n2222. Total pins used is 8+3. Total cost: smt + components + soldering is <$2USD. I do it thousands of times per month. Email me if you need help to hit that price. maurice@temcocontrols.com |
