Does the PC hang as in lock up, or does it reboot?
ATX power supplies are very sensitive to voltage drops, compared to the older AT power supplies. In this case, the start currents for the motors could give problems. Have you tried to power the PC from an UPS, just to figure out if the PC problem comes from the power supply, or if it is the video signal or control loops that picks up noise and drops the PC? Have you tried to look at all signals with a reasonably fast digital scope, setting the scope to trig for signals outside the normal range? |
