I know it's lengthy but might be worth reading. Btw, last week when I tried I had some issues with FM, too. I use the P89V51RD2 only for hobby, so I don't need to rely on FM - I simply use any terminal emulator and program "manually" - hold "U" while resetting the mcu to enter bootloader mode, then type in the command for FLASH erasing, then uploading the hex with appropriate line delay (100ms or so). I also have an "automated" method - see http://www.8052.com/forum/thread/106202 - but the "manual" is always the sure bet. JW |
