#165488 - AT89S8253 fuse settings |
I'm trying to program the fuse settings (SPIEN, UsrRowProg, x2 CLK and External CLK) on an AT89S8253 using a Dataman-48UXP programmer. 3 of the fuses had been erroneously blown (not by me I hasten to add!) and need to be re-programmed to their default states, however, this isn't working.
I've tried erasing the device, which the programmer says is successful, but when I read it back again the fuses are still in the same state. I've tried re-programming the device with the fuse settings in the default state, but they still read back the same. I've read that these fuses are NOT one time programmable yet I can find no way to reset them. Any ideas? Thanks. |
