MT8880 ... compatible with 6800 (Motorola) series. So, what does "compatible" actually mean here? I guess it just means that the chip directly provides a "Motorola-style" or "Intel-style" memory interface? In which case there is, of course, nothing to stop you adding a little "glue" logic to adapt the memory interface signals as required... Or maybe even "bit-banging" it? |
