I have a project for this year of my degree course, and I am at a loss when it comes to microcontroller programming, but I can not avoid it in the project I have been set. I have to make a temperature sensor, for a bicycle, the sensor is to be in a baby's trailer, with a display panel on the handlebars, like a normal cycle computer. My department only supports programming of 8051s (and that family or microcontrollers), with limited pic support. I was wondering if anyone had done a project similar to this, or anything interfacing with an LCD display for a similar purpose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
