A quick look at the votes in this thread makes it look like some people uses votes to try to strengthen their own arguments by trying to weaken (or possibly peeing on) other peoples arguments with votes, instead of spending time arguing their own case.
This is a debate about a specific problem most programming forums have. I can't really see that there could be any negative votes in this thread (unless we get a spammer that starts to posts links to random web sites or similar). A negative vote here is basically the same as saying that a person don't have the right to have a different view. How the xxx can someones opinion be considered "Message Not Useful" or "Looks like homework"? |
