You do need to understand the basic mathematical concepts of place value and radix notation; from the links I gave earlier
a concept not mentioned is the 'nibble' bits 7654 3201 byte |----|----| left nibble |----| right nibble |----|BCD is the most significant value in the left nibble and the least significant value in the right nibble. Erik |
