Also, show us how do you call this routine. Anyway, IMHO it is a bad idea to try to do this in "C". Although the while cycle might be compiled quite efficiently, you might "lose" quite a couple of cycles on it. This will aggravate the situation if it gets to higher baudrates. JW |
