You can't hand-solder BGA's either, nor can you "ring out" the connections with a continuity tester, since you can't get at all the contacts.
There are some adapters that bring TQFP contacts out to 0.1" (2.54mm) spaced contacts suitably located for wire-wrap on a standard wire-wrap board. Those are probably the easiest to use. Unfortunately all "general purpose" adapters provide one problem, namely poor power supply bypass capability. RE |
