I'm working with the Zilog Z8 MCU. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm just a little confused, so I thought that this could be a general topic (besides bank numbers, registers, etc.). So, my question is the Standard Register File, is it separate from the Expanded Register Files? Because the STF has 256 registers (20 are control registers therefore leaving 236). Then I thought I understood the ERF are separate, but then I saw a chip documentation that said that my chip only had 236 RAM (what was in the SRF). So, does that mean the the SRF and the ERF are really the same (just different segments). And then this is confusing me about register pointers.
