#171389 - CPLD or µc? |
Hello Forum
In a new design, I need more outputpins than the chosen chip it self have. The solution is to add something - a PCF 8574 - to get additional 8 pins. I also need to switch the tx/rx pins of my main micro betwen several different driver chips, and did considder using a litle CPLD. Having scratched my head a bit, I realized that a tiny micro could do the job. A P89LPC922 has on chip i2c hardware, on chip oscillator, so all I need is some simple software. Is there anything I havn't seen? Is this the way to do this? Any comments apreachiated Have a nice day Per |
