As per the web link you posted.... how will the microcontroller know when to switch from GPS to GSM?
The answers is - there is know way of knowing when to switch between either GPS or GSM AND you could loose valuable serial data when switched to the other? Best option 1st use a Microcontroller with 2 serial ports 2nd best add a second serial port (hardware) such as a NXP SC16IS750 via SPI or I2C Very Bad option - write a software serial port routine. Both 1st and 2nd option should allow you to buffer serial data. Joe |
