As this is your final year project, the marks you receive will largely come from the report that you write at the end.

I think it's highly unlikely that writing in "text-speak" - using 'r' instead of "are", etc - is going to impress your examiners.

Therefore I suggest that you take this as an opportunity to hone your technical writing skills - re-post the question as if you were writing for your examiners, and marks were to be awarded based upon your writing...
