#172352 - Well.. is this pretty good?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
This an easy article to understand for someone that wants a reference and a quick simple guide.

http://www.ucpros.com/work%20sa...es%201.htm

The tabs at the bottom of the page go all the way to the UART section which will give a nice table of differences. Seems the author agrees with my previous statement "...to pick the "right" interface for the task at hand. Each of the available interfaces has its advantages and disadvantages and is better suited at some tasks than others." As I said that "the application chooses the communication portal, but the communication portal has already been defined." In other words, go to the car dealer knowing you want fuel economy.

As far as that page goes, I think it's a pretty good starting point and maybe people here could elaborate as I suspect most people have a much deeper understanding of the detailed concepts. Also, some protocols are missing. I cannot seem to find part 4 or so....

Oh Kai already saw your page a long time ago.... really liked your ground loop explanation...
