In some situations, it will be possible to have a diode to discharge large capacitors down to VCC, to limit the amount of over-voltage during power-off when VCC drops below the value of the capacitor. Type of diode will greatly affect the amount of overvoltage allowed, but will also affect the amount of leakage. |
