#174805 - Niche
Responding to: ???'s previous message

You might perhaps want to be prepared for both: the mainstream, to get you the mainstream job, and the niche, to get an edge over the crowd who can do ONLY the mainstream.

eg, many will assume (incorrectly) that everything has to have an RTOS.
If you know how to do stuff without an RTOS - irrespective of the processor architecture - that could give you a significant edge in the applications where an RTOS would be an unnecessary overhead...!
