It was done 30 years ago with quite a number of much slower microprocessors than what's available today. Some effort has to be put into simple RC filtering of the transmitted and received waveforms, but it's pretty simple. With a 1 MHz 6502, it was quite straightforward to achieve 4800 bps. With a little imagination and a little arithmetic, you should be able to figure it out.
For a few hints, you might want to look at old "mostly software" audio tape interfaces. RE |
