What do you want to use it for?

It seems that the orignal E5 dev kit is no longer available; the new E5 "development platform" is even more expensive still.

As far as I remember, you get an "evaluation" FastChip licence and the parallel-port interface for JTAG is built on the board - so you wouldn't be able to use it if you subsequently develop your own hardware.

Have you visited the Triscend site recently? There are many more "evaluation" options available now.
