#177003 - SMBus uses 2 timers on F34x series Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It uses Timer 3 to detect if SCL is held low as well as using the selectable clock source previously mentioned.
Perhaps the low SCL detection is something that might be worth trading away at some point, but I haven't made that decision yet. USB is on the roadmap of this project, so I probably need to stick with this chip. However, the initial reason I was attracted to the F34x was 2 hardware UARTs and wide availability, not USB. If you know of another part which meets both of those criteria, I'd definitely consider it for future projects. Thanks! --David |
