#177564 - Fast scroll algorithm Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear Bert,
Yes I have in fact used the method as suggested by you for parammeters that have a range upto 999. But as Per said the factor of 100 is too fast and I normally have steps of 5 and 10. But for parameters that have a wide range of say upto 9999 I find the "digit shift - inc/dec - save" is much faster and easy. And in most cases I can do away with the "dec" button altogether as the digit scrolls only from 0-9. Say there is saved value of 8000 and the user wants to lower it to 6000 - it is much easier to alter just one digit. Anyway in engineering ( as everything else in life ) there is no "one shoe for all sizes" and best is to choose the one most suited. Thanks for tip. Raghu |
