Speed benchmarks give different results according to how good the compiler optimisations are. Power consumption is similarly influenced by coding efforts. A while ago I was asked to extend the battery life of a product, which meant reducing the current consumption from 90uA to 60uA. I managed to reduce the contribution from the micro by 10% by coding techniques. |
