Depending on the critical nature of my project I place 2-4 external Watchdog timers in my project using 2-4 external pins of my up ,You can do the same but make alterations in the assembly language for clarity I decompile the Hex and then place the RST watchdogtimer instructions at appropriate places . Any more simple way is welcome.
