#181650 - signature Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I'm not sure the signature is a definitive distinguishing feature. Note for example, that the manufacturer ID is not 0x1F which is the JEDEC ID of Atmel, but 0x58 which stands for MHS (the predecessor of Temic) - and that's true even for the "genuine" Atmel 'ED2!
I dug out an 'RD2 labelled as Atmel which does not have the AT prefix (i.e. the marking is only 89C51RD2-IM), which I am absolutely sure is the T89C51RD2. Its timestamp is 0319, which is pretty close to yours. In the transition period, Atmel definitively did not have an RD2-suffixed device, only the ED2; only after that period they added the RD2 into the datasheet. JW |
