I been researching on 8051 by using VHDL code now. After a month research on it, I have some question as below:

1) May I know what is the actual desgin architecture of 8051 now? DSP? pineline? Or others technology?

2) Could anyone recomemded/sugesstion what is the best architecture for design 8051 core (in term of speed)?

3) Is any resources (wedsite/books) for those design architecture (in general/detail)?
