Thanks for the replies so far!
 Just to clarify, the reason I'm leaning towards old, outdated tech is because I have an unhealthy obsession with obsolete components ;-) I've also been looking at some modern development systems using the ATmega family of MCUs, but I'd gain a lot of satisfaction from learning to assemble for the 8052 anyway! (I'm just weird like that). I may be interested in a pcb from you, depends on the cost! Would be easier than banging one together on proto-board.  |
