As far as I can see,   the Atmel 89C55WD is a bog standard 8051. i.e. 12 clocker.   A NOP will take 0.364us @ 33MHz.   The NOP will be 1us @ 12MHz.
 If you like, this is 2.75MIPs (or 1MIPS @ 12MHz). It appears that the only 'extra' features are WDT and power-down mode. There are many other 8051 variants that are more convenient to use. David.  |
