Hi! Thank you for your answer.
1. Why do you do a second enable after reading the Busy Flag ? The first enable is for busy testing, the second is because HD44780 outputs 3th bit of address counter Have you set the ddram address to a valid value before ? Yes. Remember that it is working in 8-bit mode. I can send you complete code if you want. I asked my friend to do the same. He has wrote his own code. And his result of lcd reading was the same.
