Hi! Andy, don't get mi wrong. I have some datasheets of circuits which you can direct connect to RxD and TxD lines of microcontroller and send or receive data. These circuits can work like a infrared "wire" between your micro and pc computer or another microcontroller. Of course, you can find the datasheet in the net, but... Or maybe I didn't understand you well.
