Sure !!
Borrow a programer from Steve, Peter, Jay or even Craig. Test your chip on their programer first. If found OK, then use your programer. :) :) :) :) By the way I guarantee, if your chip is damaged or bad then; programers(tools) are programed(designed) by the programers(makers)to tell the programer(user) that your chip is already screwed and in doing so the programers(tools) do not damage themselves.
