#18523 - Multiprocessor Serial Bus PC Interface |
Hi,
A project requires that a PC communicates with a master 8052 (derivative) via the serial RXD/TXD bus in the same way that a number of other slave 8052s communicate with the master processor. The master 8052 is to be the master of the PC as well. Currently the master and slave 8052s communicate using the 9 bit serial protocol (SM2=1) on the serial bus. Can anyone here recommend a solution to add a PC to this bus ? Does anyone have experience of doing this ? Can the PC serial port be configured to identify the 9th bit, or a piece of hardware be built to simulate it ? Cheers, Luccus |
