hi, i am trying to get a software uart from atmel 8051 89C52. i am trying to get something like connection bet 2 com port..for instance..type char "a" in com1, will output "a" to com2..

but the problem is no matter how i tried with the program. the value to com2 will be somesort of offset value. i tried to remedy it by giving a offset value, the prog will give me a new offset value again.

any expert out there care to give me some solutions or pointers?
