Click "View" on top line of IDE Screen then click "Debug Windows" and everything you wish to see becomes available. The developement board tutorial gives a step by step procedure on how to view and modify registers and Ram. Are you using the Silabs (USB or RS232) Debug Adapter and Programmer?
