#19335 - trying to write a RT kernel.keil spec? |
hi guys;
i work in bhabha atomic research centre in india.i am going to write a kernel for 80c552.it is strictly for in house use.it shall have pre-emptive multitasking and hence RT scheduling.i saw keil specs on their site as regards to RTX51 full.if any of u has worked on it can u enlighten me about following specs: 1.context switch time for fast task: 70-100 cycles. do they mean 70-100 machine cycles or simply that many clock pulses? 2.how semaphores are scheduled?fifo/priority ? i am developing this code in assembly.its users shall also use assembly for programming. if someone can clarify these specs, my direction shall become reasonably clear. thanx in advance pranav phatak |
