I dont have much experience in this ..
but I used a SLIC to interface 8888.
and the telephone .
But did u check the output
of DTMF generator if it correct and
and the signals on the telephone line...
to see if the signal (DTMF) is present.
I guess one more way to check
is to connect a telephone and dial, see
what are the signals present and the
deuration of it and compare it with the
one U are generating.
