I recommend you to have a look at MSP430F1xx Application Notes. You will find how to design an energy meter. You can inspire in these with an AT89Cx51 IC.
Also look at http://www.sames.co.za It's an ASIC manufacturer. It makes SA96xx series, which are suitable for energy metering applications. This series includes all the real-time signal processing and A/D interface between analog signal and MCU. I've got a good experience using them with PIC microcontrollers and 8051s. Good luck! SAM |
