#19799 - RE: AT89C55WD to Phillip
Phillip,

I know, I know. I do not yell. This is not business attitude I learned in huge corporations I worked for quite a few years.

Basically I know how to deal with any company besides Microsoft which I also have experience with ;-)

The fact that I am stuck with some chips does not mean that Pioneer would not help me. They issued return ticket with my proper business attitude shown ;-) I did not represent any company but only my hobby :-)

Well, once many years ago 8051 wasn't my hobby - it was every days job. Those versions of 8051 today do not even exist! My design and programming skills still exist though.

I decided to give try those 89C55WD.

However you are not right as far as Pioneer precision. I spoke to their rep. This is manufacturer who wraps parts and ships. Pioneer has only partial check on that as a distributor.

The label on unopened plastic stated AT89C55 and part number of it. Inside it was AT89C55WD. That's the fact you can't change (not my or Pioneer's mistake).

My advise is to be careful with Atmel and Pioneer. It is not that Pioneer always knows ans is in control what the manufacturer does. That is my conclusion after talking directly to Atmel's engineer in California.

Regards
M.
