I can send data out but what I get is not the same. When I send a hex (n), whatever (n) is equal to, that's how many bits I receive. I send a hex 3 and get 111. I send a hex 9 and get 111111111. I'm using the 80C537 by Siemens.

I figured my baud could be the problem, so I tried using all the different bauds, they all have the same results.

The reason I mentioned the start bit is because I can't find a setup (9600,n,8,1) that includes a start bit. Maybe I'm the lost one if all setups include a start bit anyways.

Rob, yes my MSCOMM1 setup is already setup correctly, thanks for your unhelpful comments. Next time try to be helpful:)
