#20051 - Crystal Delta Sigma A/D calibration |
Hi,
I'm sorry this is not a microcontroller question, but a question on Delta Sigma A/D operation in general and the Crystal CS5523 part in specific. Suppose I'm interested in measuring 25mV FS and the chip is setup as follow 1) The gain is at 50mV FS 2) The gain calibration register is at 2 Now full scale (FS) is cut in 1/2 to 25mV. Question is 1) Is the resolution increased? 2) Is the noise increased? The data sheet says the noise count increases by 2, but since the FS is cut in half, then the noise is same as when FS is at 50mV. Right? Thanks Andy |
