very easy. but u've to refer the LCD specs. if available. usually, there is an instruction to turn the LCD ON/OFF. so write to the LCD, the required text and then periodically toggle the state of LCD to on/off.
To blink a single character, u've to write periodically a space and that character to the LCD.
third way is to write the data and spaces periodically to the LCD.
